PEVENSEY DAY UNIT
Sister/Charge Nurse- Band 6- Full time - 37.5hours per week

We are looking to recruit a Sister/Charge Nurse to our Team on Pevensey Day Unit which provides treatments to Haematology Oncology patients. The day area has 18 chair/bed spaces caring predominately for patients receiving Haematology and Oncology treatments and is currently open from 0800 -1800 Monday to Friday. The Unit uses the Chemocare electronic prescribing system and has implemented an electronic diary system of booking patient appointments.
You should be a 1st level RGN, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and hold ENB 998/Mentorship level 2 or equivalent. Four years post registration experience is desirable and two years SACT (Systemic Anti Cancer Treatments) experience at Band 5 is essential.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be expected to function effectively under pressure without compromising basic standards of care and professionalism. You will be a role model for the team and will be committed to mentoring and developing junior nurses. Excellent organisational skills and communication are key in this area and you will work closely with the whole multidisciplinary team.
