Job summary

We have exciting opportunities within the community for aspiring Health Care Assistants with a passion to deliver individualised patient care.

We welcome applications from candidates who have no prior experience in health care and will support you to develop the relevant skills to flourish within this role.

As a member of the District Nursing Team you will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary setting to provide efficient and high-quality nursing care using evidence-based practice to a wide range of patients within the locality.

Career progression and development opportunities are available for enthusiastic and committed individuals, including care certificate, trainee nurse associate pathways and development to registered nurse level. We are currently recruiting Health Care Assistants to work in both the Eastbourne & Hailsham localities.The District Nursing Service operates over 7 days 08:00 - 20:00, including weekends and Bank Holidays.

These are fulltime positions, however part-time hours maybe considered in line with service need.

Main duties of the job

To provide clinical care to patients living within their own homes and residential care settings, supported by an experienced team of dedicated registered nurses.

Our District Nursing Teams are committed to providing a high-quality, safe and sustainable service which is fit for the future and able to reflect changing patient needs within our local community.

Community care in East Sussex is now based around Primary Care Network (PCN) teams. These provide integrated multi-disciplinary services, supporting individualised patient care and the needs of the local population.

You must have access to a car and hold a current UK driving licence. The Trust has partnered with NHS Fleet solutions to provide a cost-effective way to lease a brand-new car via salary sacrifice, please raise this at interview to gain further information.
