Job summary
This training position will permit successful applicants to achieve Nurse Associate Registration on completion of a 2 year Foundation Degree alongside associated training to work as a surgical practitioner in the New Surgical Hub being built in Eastbourne.
The course will be based in theatres but there will be placements arranged for outside of the department to enable the wider learning needed for this qualification, as well as to meet the learning required such as medicines management.
Main duties of the job
The position is a work as you learn full time position in theatres supporting the delivery of care, with 20% of the time spent studying over a 2 year academic course. The working element will largely be spent in theatres learning to circulate initially and then to safely scrub in to support surgical care. for a pre-agreed set of cases.
