To be an experienced Orthopaedic Practitioner / Trainee Orthopaedic Practitioner you need to be able to work / work towards being unsupervised and work as part of the Orthopaedic Practitioners team. If taking on the role as a trainee orthopaedic practitioner you will be required to attend Stanmore's British Casting Course (six weeks) and gain your qualification in casting, learning how to apply casts and be responsible for providing high standard casts and splints for fractures and orthopaedic conditions in the following areas: casting department, A&E, theatres, wards, clinics, Psychiatry, Radiology, HDU, ITU.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for providing specialist orthopaedic service within orthopaedic outpatients to include casting and splinting assessments and application of treatments whilst working to deliver a high standard of patient care within a multidisciplinary team.

We would advise and welcome potential candidates to spend half or a full day with us to meet the Team and get a feel for the role.
