Job summary

Are you enthusiastic, motivated and looking for a fresh challenge and the opportunity to work within a community based 0-19 Integrated Early Help Team? You will be supporting the delivery of the National Healthy Child Programme with a clear focus on improving the health and wellbeing of children 0-5 years and families in East Sussex.

You will need a current NNEB/BTEC Diploma in Child Care or NVQ in Child Care level 3 or equivalent.

Working with children and families in home and clinic settings, under the supervision of a named Health Visitor you will deliver the following interventions:

  • 1 year & 27 month developmental reviews
  • Supporting parents with positive parenting skills including understanding and managing child behaviour, play and stimulation, speech and language development, sleep management, toilet training and nutrition
  • Facilitate group sessions via MS Teams and face to face
  • Supporting with the Antenatal project, which includes some evening sessions (18:00 - 20:30)

How we will support you in your role?

You will have a mentor/supervisor to guide and support you with the successful transition into your new role. Taking in to account your existing experience and skills, your mentor/supervisor will support you in gaining new skills necessary to become a competent and confident Community Nursery Nurse.
