Phlebotomy Receptionist

Job summary

Our Phlebotomy Receptionist manages patient bookings for the ESHT phlebotomy clinics.

They will answer the telephone and take bookings which will then be recorded on our computer system.

To work as part of a team on the Phlebotomy reception at Eastbourne DGH.

The position will be Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00

Main duties of the job

They will prepare request to bleed forms where the patient attends clinic without correct paperwork.

The Receptionist will advise patients on pre bleed requirements such as fasting or timed draw as laid out in the Pathology Handbook but will not give clinical advice.

The receptionist will look after the patients attending clinic.
