Job summary

We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Resuscitation Officer to work within the Resuscitation Department at ESHT. The role will be cross site between Conquest and Eastbourne DGH. The successful candidate will be a registered nurse; ODP or Paramedic and be a (RC UK) ALS or EPALS provider or (ALSG) ALS or APLS provider. You will have substantial experience and skills within the field of resuscitation.

This post offers an interesting variety of work within the educational and clinical arenas. You will be involved in teaching all grades of staff both basic and advanced resuscitation skills. This will include involvement in (RC UK) ALS; EPALS & GIC courses. You will provide a patient training service following referrals from GP's; paediatricians; SCBU & CONI scheme. The Resuscitation Officers are members of the emergency teams for all patient groups, and you will be expected to attend emergency calls and perform a range of clinical interventions. Within the post you will be encouraged to maintain and develop your clinical and leadership skills within the field of resuscitation. You will act as a mentor and positive role model for the Junior RO's and to deputise for the Senior RO in their absence at Trust meetings and seminars.
