Main duties of the job

We are looking for midwives to join our hospital team at Hastings and community and continuity of carer teams in Eastbourne and Hastings. With Better Births continuity of carer moving forward as part of the midwifery team you will have the opportunity to work within a variety of setting to provide women with individualised care. Our consultant led unit, based on the Hastings site, A standalone midwifery led unit based in Eastbourne and our community teams cover the East Sussex countryside offering home birth. We are a tight knit team working closely together to provide women and their families with high quality, evidence based midwifery care. You will need to be a highly motivated team player committed to improving and developing the service.We offer an excellent induction programme for all and full preceptorship programme for newly qualified midwives.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work confidently and autonomously within the team is essential, you will gain experience in all aspects of midwifery care. An on call provision so flexibility is essential.
