Head of Clinical Service - Specialist Mental Health x 4 posts

Are you an experienced leader with a proven record for leading continuous improvement in service delivery across clinical services?

We have 4 permanent opportunities available due to staff promotions and retirements. These roles are wide ranging and exciting opportunities to become an integral member of the Specialist Mental Health Care Group:

  • Head of Clinical Service - East place based - Community Specialist Mental Health
  • Head of Clinical Service - Talking Therapies and Psychology
  • Head of Clinical Service - Wirral - Acute Specialist Mental Health
  • Head of Clinical Service - First Response Service

The post holders will work within a dynamic care group and strong clinical and operational leadership team to ensure service provision is clinically led and managerially enabled; supporting clinical engagement and leadership.

Main duties of the job

The post holders are responsible for:

  • leading on localised place based initiatives, integration and strategies representing CWP and the SMH Care Group.
  • translating strategic plans into operational delivery of clinical services and are responsible for performance, quality, safety and service. development in-line with Trust-wide policies and protocols.
  • working collaboratively with colleagues across the local health, care and voluntary sector economy to manage and achieve improvements in Trust services generally.
  • supporting the contribution, development and wellbeing of the individuals they directly line manage and ensuring direct reports do the same for staff in which they are responsible.
  • overseeing a culture in which staff are enabled to be the best that they can be.
  • demonstrating commitment to our Trust's visions, values, continuous improvement and ensuring the effective management and delivery of the services within their portfolio.

We are looking for candidates who can be flexible and could rotate across different portfolios as and when required.

You will have a relevant professional qualification at Masters level, or equivalent experience with demonstrable evidence of continuous professional development.
