Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, dynamic, experienced, and dedicated Physiotherapist to join our established innovative, community-based LD East Cheshire multi-disciplinary team.

You will be joining a well-established and supportive team, where person-centred care is at the forefront of everything that we do.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care and clinical leadership to the Physiotherapist and Physiotherapy assistants in the team, ensuring all work is needs led, evidence based and in line with current legislation.

CWP hosts CANDDID, the Centre for Autism Neurodevelopmental disorders and Intellectual Disabilities, which carries out research, education and training, and all clinicians are encouraged and supported to develop research and QI skills.

There are two bases that the team works from, one at Rosemount Lodge, Macclesfield, and one at Catherine House, Crewe - the location of base can be reviewed with the successful candidate.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will direct and lead the Learning Disability Physiotherapy provision of the LD team. They will provide clinical expertise around complex health difficulties and the impact this could have on other areas of the person's life whilst working within the context of a multi-professional framework.

The post holder will carry a caseload of clients with learning disabilities who have the most complex needs, where a high level of clinical expertise is required to deliver care that will reduce health inequalities for people with diagnoses that impact on their physical health and mobility.

The post holder will lead in the overall approach to clinical assessments of clients referred into the team for Physiotherapy input and will support the delivery of specialist learning disability assessment, intervention and person-centred outcomes.

To lead on specific MDT projects and service developments as part of a leadership role within the team.

  • State Registration with HCPC
