Job summary

We are recruiting a Band 2 Apprentice Admin Support Officer. Hours of work are 37.5 hours to be worked over 5 days between the hours of 9am-5pm. 20% off the job study time allowance will be included within 37.5 contracted hours.

Based in Macclesfield, Cheshire, we are a busy Administration Team that forms part of the Adult and Older Persons Community Mental Health Service. Our Administration function is often the first point of contact for the teams based at Jocelyn Solly so as a representative of our service high standards of professional conduct and Customer Services must be maintained.

We are looking for a hardworking, polite, confident and well-motivated flexible person to join our busy secretarial team.

The ideal candidate should have a natural flair for Customer Service, organisation, administration and be able to deliver service with a smile.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for processing prescriptions and duties will include; receiving telephone requests from service users, carers staff and other professionals, requesting prescriptions to be completed by Consultants and processing prescriptions to their onward location.

You will need a good level customer of service skills, communication skills and a good knowledge of IT and windows-based computer systems including a working knowledge of Microsoft office applications.

You will work as part of a large Administration Team of multi skilled experienced colleagues who will be able to support you to become the best you can be. There is the requirement to cover colleagues in times of service need- but our staff pull together and support each other to maintain standards of care. Opportunities for training and development are encouraged within the team.

20% off the job study time will be agreed with your manager. Full training and support will be given on internal systems and policies. Regular Supervisions and Appraisals will ensure that the post holder is supported and aware of their objectives.
