Job summary

We have recently reviewed and restructured our management Accounts team which sits within the Business and Value function in the Trust. Thenew structure has been created to enhance and strengthen the financial management provided to the services we support with a focus on value.This restructure has provided exciting opportunities for ambitious professionals looking to develop their finance career within a strong team. The posts provide a clear route of progression in a rewarding and challenging role which requires developed communication and analytical skills.

The Management Accountant will play a key role in the Management Accounting Team and take responsibility for providing timely, relevant andaccurate financial information to clinical and non-clinical services.

Main duties of the job

The role will provide co-ordinating support in the completion of monthly financial reporting both internal and external to the Trust within reportingdeadlines.

The post will support the Deputy Business and Value Partner in the supervision of the Management Accounts team and deputise where required presenting financial information in meetings across the Trust.The successful candidate will be AAT level 4 or equivalent and studying towards a CCAB qualification, with experience of working in amanagement accounts function.

  • CCAB (Professional Accountancy qualification) - studying or equivalent experience
  • NVQ Level 4 in Accounting (AAT Qualified) or business related/finance degree

  • Strong working knowledge of all aspects of management accounting and budgetary control.
  • Ability to produce and interpret detailed and complex financial information and present to non financial managers
  • Proven track record to work to complex changing priorities and tight deadlines

  • In-depth NHS financial knowledge gained through working in the NHS
