We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our Wirral Complex Needs Service on a temporary basis to cover for a colleague who is on maternity leave.
You will join an existing team of experienced clinicians who are enthusiastic in working with clients with complex presentations and who may have been given a diagnosis of personality disorder.
You will be joining a team committed to working positively and compassionately with this client group.You will be encouraged to participate in both our direct therapeutic activities with clients and also in our broader framework for offering consultation to our colleagues in Adult Mental Health Services.
Main duties of the job
As part of your role within the team, you will have some access to the in-house training that we are able to provide. The team supports hybrid working. The post is offered at band 8A for those with 1+ years post qualification experience.

We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist with the ability to apply a specialist therapeutic model such as MBT, DBT, or SCM (training and regular specialist supervision from an accredited supervisor will be provided), to be able to work effectively as part of the Multi Disciplinary Team, provide consultation/ training to other teams, and be motivated to make meaningful change. There will be opportunities for development and training attached to this post in line with the Health Education England training offer and the post holder would be supported to complete accreditation in a chosen modality. The successful candidate will also be well supported within the Psychologists network at CWP and have opportunities to contribute strategically to the developing pathway of specialist services with CWP targeted at improving services for people who may attract a diagnosis of Personality Disorder.
