Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are able to offer 2 fully funded Learning Disability Nurse Degree apprenticeships to commence at Chester University in September 2023.
These exciting posts are open to applicants with a minimum of 6 months recent experience in a health and clinical based role.
This Higher Apprenticeship in Nursing allows you to study for a BN degree and you can register with the NMC as a nurse. Apprenticeships are required by the NMC to complete 4600 hours: 2300 in theory and 2300 in practice. This is a full time course over 3 years. You will be paid at band 3 agenda for change.

Main duties of the job
You will spend time in a diverse range of placements throughout the programme.
Will be subject to an end point assessment which must e completed within the programme and you will have to go through a gateway board process to achieve the award.
Methods of teaching and learning include lectures, seminars, tutorials, e-learning, practice-based workshops, practice in skills suites, practice simulation, practice placements, and self and guided study. As a prerequisite you will:
Have Maths and English GSCE at C/4 or above or equivalent such as Level 2 Functional Skills.

We consider learning gained elsewhere whether through academic credit and qualifications acquired from other relevant courses of study.
Have relevant knowledge of the health setting that the post applies to.
Be able and willing to travel across the CWP sites and those of our partner Trusts.
Demonstrate both Trust values and the six C's.
Be keen to champion person centred care.
Have original documents for said qualifications and ID available for submission on request to the University and Trust.
