Job summary

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and passionate Substance Misuse worker for the forensic services within Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP). A strong knowledge base in substance misuse linked with both mental health conditions and neurodevelopmental disorders is essential.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work 3 days in a community team (The Forensic Support Service (FSS)) and 2 days in the LSU wards based on the Soss Moss site (Saddlebridge Recovery Centre and The Alderley Unit).

FSS are a tertiary service providing specialist forensic input into secondary teams within Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust which support the management of individuals who are at risk of offending. Saddlebridge is an all-male mental health low secure service and The Alderley unit is an all-male Learning disability and Autism low secure service.

We are seeking a compassionate and understanding individual with a good knowledge of latest research and government policy. The successful candidate needs to be able to work flexibly within a range of complex systems.

The post holder will be required to have excellent communication skills and be able to work both autonomously and within a multi-disciplinary team.

The community team is based at Saddlebridge Recovery Centre, however as a trust wide team the post holder will be expected to travel across the Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust footprint.
