Job summary

This post is an exciting opportunity to be part of the expanding Macclesfield eating disorder service within CWP Eating disorder services.

You will be involved in engaging, assessing and providing interventions for those eligible for the service, their carers and their families. The service delivers intervention for people who have a variety of eating disorders, This significantly reduces the impact on the individual and the family.

You will be working with and supported by the other members of the Macclesfield Eating Disorder Service, be provided with regular managerial and clinical supervision to enable you to provide evidenced based interventions

Main duties of the job

  1. To be an active member of the Eating Disorder Team
  2. To provide appropriate therapy for a specific patient caseload including: -
    1. those with more complex needs within a psychological framework
  3. To carry out appropriate assessments
  4. To liaise closely with the patient, the MDT and appropriate professionals concerning their treatment.
  5. To implement and evaluate programmes of care for this group of clients.
  6. To attend the relevant patient review meetings and feedback information to the team.
  7. To plan and co-ordinate discharge with patients, the team and other Professionals.
  8. To be responsible for recording information about treatments in the multi-disciplinary record systems and group sessions notes.
  9. To be responsible for completing relevant CPA & Risk Assessment documentation and to act as care co-ordinator as required.
  10. To organise physical monitoring of clients health according to service protocol.
  11. To provide information and support to carers on eating disorders, as necessary.
  12. To carry out home visits according to community protocol.
