Job summary

Clinical Psychologist 7/8A Community Mental Health Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our Wallasey and West Wirral CMHT. The CMHT offers multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention for people with complex mental health needs. Alongside direct therapeutic work with individuals and their families, you would also provide consultation and support to our MDT colleagues. An interest in research and audit is encouraged and supported. You would also be part of a team of experienced psychologists with a focus on continuing personal development and peer support. Specialist supervision will be provided for the post and there will be opportunities for the development of clinical skills, including training in therapies. Specifically, there is agreement that the successful post-holder will be able to access training in EMDR, and/or other therapy modalities deemed relevant to the needs of the service Users. We have good links with the three training courses in the North West and offer clinical placements. The post is offered at Band 8a for those with 1+ years post-qualification experience. Main duties of the job

Clinical Psychologists 7/8A Adult Community Mental Health Team (1.4 vacancies). Full time and part time hours available.

You would be joining a friendly and supportive Community Mental Health Team with a focus on a recovery model and trauma-informed care. You would also be joining a team of experienced psychologists locally (also friendly and supportive) with a focus on continuing personal developmentand improving the offer of psychology in our local services. There will be opportunities for development of clinical skills, including training in therapies. Specifically, there is agreement that the successful post-holder will be able to access training in EMDR, and neuropsychology supervision.
