Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit to our Adult Step 4 Primary Care Mental Health Psychology Service. We have secured additional permanent funding including a preceptorship post 7/8a for a newly qualified Clinical Psychologist. We recognise that the last couple of years may have presented a number of challenges to trainees and feel we can provide a supportive and nurturing environment to consolidate and further develop skills and experience acquired during training.
The Step 4 Psychology team are part of the stepped care model in primary care and have close working relationships and links with the other steps in the service. We provide assessment, consultation and individual and group interventions to clients referred to our service.
Main duties of the job
In addition to contributing fully to the offer in the adult step 4 psychology service as part of the developmental expectation of a 7/8a appointment we are able to offer a CPD opportunity to input into another specialty / service in the trust in line with interests and developmental needs of the successful candidate.
We are of course also able to appoint at 8a if you have already acquired suitable post qualification experience and welcome applications from candidates in this position and would be willing to consider developmental opportunities at this level too.
As a team we have adapted well during covid and are able to deliver services remotely as well as continued with face-to-face as appropriate. Flexible and remote working will continue as part of the service offer.We are a small, committed team we offer supervision and continued opportunities for training and development across the service.
