Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the new Cheshire Mental Health Support Team (MHST) based in Crewe, Cheshire.

Band 5 Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner will work with colleagues in the Crewe MHST who align closely with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, education settings and professionals supporting children, young people and their families.

The post involves working directly with schools, colleges and settings providing information, advice and guidance through consultation, direct work with children and young people and their families and delivering evidence based interventions.

It is recognised that that there is a national conversation and planning to open professional registration options for those qualified as CYWP/EMHP practitioners. We would expect that a successful applicant would actively pursue such registration when this is possible.

Experience of working/training within an MHST is desirable.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will work within Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Mental Health Support Team (Crewe MHST) with a range of assessment and other interventions on an individual and wider systems basis under close clinical supervision from more senior staff.

Accessing regular case management and clinical supervision on an individual and group basis will be an important aspect of the role.

The post-holder will be able to deliver a range of 1:1 and group Low Intensity CBT based interventions for children, young people, and parents/carers.
