Job summary

An exciting opportunity to join a team of 5 Occupational Therapist working in vocational rehabilitation for a community-based service working with adults with an acquired brain injury. The focus is to assist people with achieving a return to work. The post is based at the Acorn Suite, Countess of Chester Health Park, with access to an office at Clatterbridge and provides a service to the Wirral Area.

The Acquired Brain Injury Service has continued to develop since its origins, the team members have increased in numbers and service deliver has expanded in many ways. Main duties of the job

The core role is to assist people with achieving a return to work while other team members look at other activities of productivity. This will involve worksite visits, job analysis, liaison with employer's Occupational Health, HR and Line Managers, as well as working with relevant DWP. The team use a holistic approach based on the PEO model. The post holder will be working alongside brain injury case managers, psychology assistants, Consultant neuropsychologists, lived experience connectors and service user volunteers.

This role will primarily focus on assisting service users with achieving a return to work. The post holder will manage their own caseload with support and guidance from senior OT. They will have specific clinical and managerial duties. Please refer to attached job description for details

  • Occupational Therapy Degree / Diploma
  • HCP registration
