Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist with well rounded clinical experience to join our established Care Community Team based in Princeway Health Centre in Frodsham.

We are looking for an individual who can prioritise, think on their feet and utilise their clinical skills and knowledge in a creative way to support our patients to optimise their independence in their own environment. Excellent communication skills are key.

As this role involves the assessment and treatment of patients in their own environment, access to transport for work purposes is also essential.

This post is part time - 30 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

To work autonomously as a specialist physiotherapy practitioner within an integrated community care team to deliver a high-quality physiotherapy service through assessment and treatment of patients referred with complex rehabilitation needs within Western Cheshire.

To work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and communicate information to those agencies (either health or social background) involved, to meet the needs of the patient & plan effective care.

To participate in departmental In-service Training and Journal Club activities to further consolidate knowledge base and specialist clinical skills. Participate in the CPD programme to share these skills with therapy and nursing colleagues.

To provide supervision, teaching and support to senior and junior staff, assistant staff and act as a clinical educator for undergraduate students.
