Job summary

We provide psychological interventions for clients with a diagnosed eating disorder , this being anorexia nervosa , bulimia nervosa, binge eating and eating disorder not specified.

We work within nice guidance framework , delivering CBT Ed , Mantra , FPT and SSCM.

The successful candidate will be given training and supervision to undertake psychological interventions .

They will work as part of a collaborative MDT .

They will be joining an innovative team that encourages new ways of working .

They will be supported by the whole team to deliver interventions within this special field of mental health

We are a small team based in Warrington .

We have a number of members of the team who have a lot of experience of working with this client group and several that are new to the speciality . This is helpful if you are new to this field .

We work very collaboratively as an MDT as we are aware that we all have something to offer .

We are also one team as part of the whole CWP eating disorder service. We do whole team learning and development . Being involved with other teams in this speciality means that we are able to share knowledge and experiences to improve care .

Main duties of the job

Providing psychological interventions to individuals and groups with an eating disorder. Following the care pathways developed by the service

To provide physical monitoring of this client group

To assess clients to determine if they have an eating disorder

To liaise with other services

To care coordinate

Triage of referrals

Assessment of clients with a potential eating disorder diagnosis

Delivery of psychological interventions to clients with an eating disoder as per nice guidance .

Work collabratively with an MDT

Provide care coordination

Liaise and provide advice to other health care professionals

  • Professional qualification (e.g. Nursing, Occupational therapy, Counselling)
  • Registration (with NMC,HPC , or Accreditation with BACP)
  • Additional post qualification study in a specific psychotherapeutic approach e.g. Post Qualification Framework Module or Post Graduate Certificate or willingness to work towards this qualification
