Job summary

This job is for a Band 6 Eating Disorders Practitioner. the successful candidate will work as a part of a small, multidisciplinary team, delivering care to a caseload of clients with eating disorder. The post is based at Upton Lea Resource Centre, Bowmere Hospital.

The West Cheshire Community Eating Disorders Service is a small team, consisting of a Consultant Psychiatrist, Team manager, Dietitian, Senior Eating Disorders Practitioner, Eating Disorders Practitioner, and administrator. It is a close and supportive team which is keen to ensure all the staff have the adequate skills and resources to help our client group as best as we can. We work very closely with other community teams in CWP community eating disorders, as well as with the inpatient unit, Oaktrees.

Main duties of the job

- Hold a caseload of clients with eating disorder, of varying severity.

- Act as Care Co-ordinator for the most severe clients on caseload.

- Deliver evidence-based interventions to those clients, including manual-based and psycho-education-based interventions.

- Work as a part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe and holistic care for the clients.

- Ensure that you have the knowledge and up to date competencies to deliver effective interventions.
