We are excited to advertise for a Specialty Doctor level at The Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.
The post is intended to provide additional experience in breast surgery, to enable progression into a formal NTN for general surgical training . The post is ideal for surgeons who have completed core surgical training who wish to gain experience prior to ST3 applications or for those who have established registrar experience and wish to develop their career and portfolio for successful CESR application.
Although not a recognised training post, there are considerable training and educational opportunities for the successful candidates. There is a comprehensive induction course and regular weekly teaching with the intention that the service commitment, supervision level and educational opportunities will be equivalent to that of our existing trainees.
This is a Full-Time post providing basic hours of 40 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
Specialty registrars will be expected to participate in on-calls, ward rounds, clinics and operating theatres.
The postholder accepts that s/he will also perform duties in on the emergency take and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate consultant, in consultation where practicable with senior colleagues.
