Trust Doctor ST3+ in Stroke Medicine

Job summary

This is a Full-Time post providing 10 Programmed Activities (PAs), but applicants wishing to work part-time are also encouraged to apply and job plans will be adjusted accordingly, and by negotiation with appointees.

The post will be based in stroke medicine, supporting ward rounds on the stroke unit and acute thrombolysis sessions and sessions in the TIA clinic. On call commitments will be supporting the middle grade acute medicine on call rota. Full details on the on call rota can be provided on request, it includes a 1 in 23 participation in the rota.

Main duties of the job

Support for Hyper Acute Stroke, Acute Stroke and Rehabilitation wards, to support consultant led ward rounds.Support for acute thrombolysis supported by specialist nursing team and stroke consultant TIA clinics. Frequency of each to be determined by service need following negotiation with successful applicant

  • MRCP or equivalent

  • Must have 4 years post graduate experience including 1 years within the Stroke Specialty
