This is an exciting time for Calderdale's district nursing teams as we have established 5 community hubs each with its own unique and diverse needs.
We are seeking enthusiastic staff members with excellent communication skills, who are highly motivated and adaptable in a fast paced and ever changing environment.
Due to the nature of the role it is essential that you hold a full driving license with access to a vehicle suitable for business use.
We have a Full time fixed term 12 month vacancy with the Grange Dean team (Hub 1) for a Band 4 NA to cover existing maternity leave.

QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING
Essential
- Nursing Associate Foundation Degree from an approved nursing associate programme
- Registered Nurse Associate on the NMC register
- GCSE Grade A-C in Maths & English or skills level 2 Maths & English or equivalent
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable
- Additional post- registration qualification relevant to field of practice
- Have completed training or study in areas relevant to the role applied for or be willing to undertake
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE
Essential
- Relevant experience in the field of area applied for
- Relevant experience of working with patients and families from a range of cultures and backgrounds
- Relevant experience of working self-directed or as part of a team
- Understanding the scope of the nursing associate role in the context of the multidisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role will contribute to service development
- Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within the Code
- Relevant knowledge related to best practice guidance for care of patients and their families.
- Ability to communicate with members of the public and health and care providers
- Knowledge of when to seek advice and escalate to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice
- Understands the requirements for NMC professional revalidation
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of safeguarding procedures and policies for adults and children
- Understanding of the importance of following procedures and treatment plans
