Job summary

We are looking to appoint full time or part-time ST3-7 (or equivalent) Obstetric and Gynaecology Registrars on a 12 month, fixed-term, basis to support the O and G medical team at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. This Job would suit someone with relevant UK experience who is looking to further their career in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job The successful post holder will work across Obstetrics and Gynaecology covering all aspects of acute theatre and OPD serivces

CHFT provides maternity and Gynecology services for a diverse population of women across the Halifax and Huddersfield geographical area which is both urban and rural in nature with areas of high deprivation. The service has a birth rate of approx. 4300 births per annum and offers the following birth options:

o Home Birth

o Midwife led birth centre.

o Consultant led care on the labour ward (LDRP)

The free-standing birth centre at HRI remains suspended.

We have a 31 bedded combined ante/postnatal ward with 8 designated transitional care beds/ cots and are supported by a 20-cot level 2 NNU.

The Gynecology service has a large outpatient service on both sites and an inpatient ward on the Calderdale site
