Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Orthoptist to join our friendly team of 11 orthoptists, 1 Orthoptic Assistant, 3 Ophthalmic Technicians and 3 Optometrists across Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

Applications are invited from experienced and recently qualified Orthoptists wishing to gain further experience in a varied clinical workload; Adult and Paediatric Orthoptic clinics, Joint Orthoptic and Consultant Motility and Paediatric Ophthalmology Clinics, School Vision screening, Community Clinics, Visual field assessment (Humphrey field analyser, Octopus 900) and Optical Coherence Tomography.

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent in Orthoptics
  • HCPC Registered

Desirable

  • Membership of the British & Irish Orthoptic Society

  • Working single handed
