Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our Phlebotomy Team Leaders in leading the Phlebotomy Team on a day to day basis at the Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust sites. These sites include Calderdale Royal Hospital (located in Halifax) , Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and within the communities of Calderdale and Kirklees. The Phlebotomy service is progressive and is actively involved in developing the service further with CHFT and local ICBs to improve the patient experience and service.
The successful candidate must have experience as a Phlebotomist, should have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure with the ability to record data accurately, have an approachable nature and the ability to fulfil the travel requirements. Previous experience working as a supervisor or team leader is essential.
Full and extensive departmental training will be given for the successful candidate
Main duties of the job
To coordinate the smooth running of phlebotomy services with other team leaders across CHFT sites and ensuring that robust systems are in place in order to provide a high quality effective and efficient service.
To lead and deliver phlebotomy training (internally and externally) for phlebotomists, clinical staff and to staff in the community.
