Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Medical Division for a Directorate Support Manager. This new exciting role will be supporting the Acute Medicine directorate management team as well as the wider Medical Division with a primary focus on supporting workforce management, day-to-day operational troubleshooting and monitoring elective activity e.g. RTT, validation and maintaining KPI's.
You will need to be a good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. There is significant scope in the role for professional development and the opportunity to contribute and lead on key trust wide projects on behalf of the Divisional Management Team.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will provide day-to-day operational support and assist with service level management across the Acute Directorate and wider Medical Division.
The role requires an individual who can bring NHS and/or private sector health management experience with demonstrable evidence of implementing service level strategies along with successful delivery challenging access and financial performance.
Within the role the key focus areas will include:
- Workforce management (sickness monitoring, return to work discussions, daily staffing for safe service provision)
- Monitoring performance withing elective services
- Supporting incident and complaint investigations
The role is across two sites (Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Calderdale Royal Hospital).

The Acute Directorate is led by a triumvirate team of Clinical Director & General/Operational Managers and a team of Matrons covering Acute Medicine, Elderly Care and Diabetes services.

- Significant experience and working knowledge of medical staffing rotas including prospective cover and emergency duty cover
