Job summary
Are you an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist who is passionate about children with complex needs? Are you looking to work as part of a supportive team in a flexible working environment whilst earning HCAS? We have a new and exciting opportunity for a band 7 Occupational Therapist to join our team based at St Marks Hospital in Maidenhead.
Within this post you will have the opportunity to work as part of an experienced team of therapists in a mix of community settings, early years settings, homes and schools having independence and autonomy to manage your own caseload. You will be expected to deliver a high standard ofoccupational therapy care to children and young people with developmental and complex needs, therefore for this role we are looking for someone with a real passion for seeing young children reach their potential. You will be expected to lead on a specific clinical area of Occupational Therapy, e.g. DCD, enabling the team to further their knowledge, enthusiasm and evidence-based practice to the team.
Our core working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:00 but we can offer flexibility around this. The role will involve some travel but also leaves room for some home working. Permanent full-time position available, part-time options considered.
Main duties of the job

Provide high quality assessment and interventions for children and young people with developmental / complex needs

Function as a specialist autonomous clinician, supporting delivery of the CYPIT model and providing support to more junior staff

Contribute to defined projects and service development initiatives as requested

Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records and provide written therapy plans and reports including contribution to the EHCP Assessment process and tribunals as required

Use the Care Aims care planning approach, impact-based clinical decision making, and associated outcome measures

Provide specialist clinical care including assessment, diagnosis and interventions, for a paediatric caseload
