We have an exciting opportunity for a band 6 physiotherapist to join our Children and Young People's Integrated Therapy team under the direction of a Band 7 therapist. There will also be opportunities to shadow therapists in various settings, attend training sessions and develop your knowledge and skills within the wider school age therapy team.

This role is based at the University of Reading and is open to staff wanting hours all year round or term time only, and includes supporting children who attend mainstream schools and special schools/resources in Reading and West Berkshire.

As a Band 6 physiotherapist, you will be responsible for the planning and management of your own school-age caseload and service delivery using an impact-based model of clinical decision making.

Our CYPIT service supports children and young people from birth to 19 years of age across Berkshire. We're an integrated therapy service, committed to impact-based clinical decision making and co-production of therapy plans with our families and partners.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide high quality assessment and interventions for children and young people with developmental / complex needs

  • Opportunity to work alongside, and learn from Sensory Integration trained therapists

  • Be involved in the implementation of training packages

  • Function as a specialist autonomous clinician, supporting delivery of the CYPIT model, development of the CYPF and provide support to more junior staff

  • Contribute to defined projects and service development initiatives as requested

  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records
