In this role, you will enable citizen developers by providing guidance, education, advice, and support to help them create their own automated solutions within Berkshire Healthcare's governance framework. You will also promote the citizen developer program, encouraging participation through team channels.

You will support both the citizen developer program and the Intelligent Automation program by managing the centre of excellence within the Power Platform. Working closely with the IA program manager and IA governance leads, you will ensure that the citizen developer program remains well-governed and secure.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing and supporting Intelligent Automation solutions on occasion, as requested by the IA Programme Manager.

The role necessitates occasional on-site visits to various locations within the Berkshire Healthcare Trust and attendance at a minimum of four mandatory (2 x pro-rata) in-person team meetings each year.

Main duties of the job

  • Lead the development of a community that encourages self-help and troubleshooting among Citizen Developers
  • Promote the development of applications by Citizen Developers to improve processes and efficiency within Berkshire Healthcare
  • Provide specialist expertise and guidance, offering training programs, support and guidance to better enable the development of applications by Citizen Developers
  • Ensure that Citizen Developers understand their responsibilities in application and data governance to sustain a well-managed program
  • Work to foster a culture of innovation and responsible development, leveraging the capabilities of Citizen Developers to drive process improvements and efficiency
  • Provide specialist expertise and guidance including specialised training programs, including lesson plans as required
  • Ensure disaster recovery plans for all services are available, practiced and reviewed on a regular basis
  • Maintain an excellent working knowledge of Intelligent Automation, technologies and taking this into account be able to detail how this can be used to support the changing business priorities of the organisation
  • Audit and validate data integrity from feeder systems and flagging areas of poor or unsatisfactory quality to the Senior Software Developers and the relevant owners of the data
  • Represent the IA programme at stakeholder events
