TheHead of Medical Staffing & Medical Education is the Trust's authoritative expert within the field of medical human resources management and medical education. They will ensure Trust compliance with statutory, Health Education, GMC and Deanery requirements and provides the authoritative advice for the Trust on medical staffing terms and conditions.
Responsible for the implementation of new national initiatives in the trust, in relation to medical staff, taking a long-term view and ensuring the Trust has appropriate systems and procedures in place to ensure safe and effective management of the medical workforce.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours/ week) with opportunity for working remotely one day a week. Medical Staffing and Medical Education Office is based at Prospect Park Hospital in Reading.
Main duties of the job
- The post-holder will ensure Trust's compliance with statutory, Medical Education, Regulatory/GMC and Deanery requirements and provide the authoritative advice for the Trust's Senior Leadership on medical staffing terms and conditions.
- Responsible for the development of Trust implementation of new national initiatives in relation to medical staff, taking a long-term view and ensuring the Trust has appropriate systems and procedures in place to ensure safe and effective management of the medical workforce.
- The post holder is responsible for the implementation of best practice Employment Practices and Strategies in relation to all the Medical Workforce across the Trust. This includes day to day leadership ensuring the provision of a high quality, customer focused Medical Staffing & Medical Education Service.
