Are you a newly qualified Speech & Language Therapist looking to develop your skills and career in paediatrics?

We have an exciting opportunity for an NQ OR experienced band 5 SaLT to join our amazing school age integrated therapy team on 1 year fixed term contract.

You'll visit schools and clinics across West Berkshire including West Reading, Hungerford, and Newbury. Our well established team are impact based and focus on outcomes that are important to the family.

You will be under the direction of a Band 6/7 therapist and take responsibility for a dedicated caseload. You will have the opportunity to work with and learn from experienced therapists across a range of specialisms, try new things and develop skills in different technical areas.

The position is Monday to Friday 9:00am - 17:00pm. We welcome full time and part time applications and those looking for flexible working patterns, including term time only. The role will involve travel to several sites and there is also room for home working.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide high quality assessment and interventions for children and young people with developmental / complex communication needs
  • Opportunity to work alongside, and learn from experienced therapists
  • Be involved in the implementation of training packages
  • Contribute to defined projects and service development initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records
