Community Nursery Nurse Band 4 - Part time 30 hours

We are looking to recruit a qualified Band 4 Community Nursery Nurse to work as part of the 0-19 team in Bracknell Forest working closely alongside both health visiting and school nursing colleagues, so there is ability to work your contracted hours between these times . You will be provided with all the equipment required for you to work flexibly and safely . The teams are usually based within Children's Centres across the local area.

We are looking for a suitably qualified nursery nurse to work as part of the Health Visiting Team providing a service to pre-school children and their families. You will be working as part of a close and supportive team providing a proactive, responsive service based on identified health needs as delegated by the health visitor. You will be responsible for participating in the delivery of the universal Healthy Child Programme . You will be expected to work in various community settings including the homes of families.

Main duties of the job

To provide support to families within a variety of community settings under the direction of the Health Visitor, considering the diverse needs of the community.

To plan and deliver health enhancing activities for children and their families to include working in groups, child health clinics, developmental review clinics, post natal groups and on an individual basis.

To provide support to families using the Solihull approach model in behaviour management, parenting skills and delivering programmes of care to vulnerable families as identified by the health visitor.

To support breastfeeding and parent infant relationships applying the UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative standards.

To work in partnership with Children Centre's and Early Years settings to promote health and well-being of the local population

To liaise with other agencies and services to provide integrated and cohesive support for children and their families, under the direction of the health visitor.
