Job summary

We are looking for a skilled multi-therapy assistant our Assessment and rehabilitation centre team based at Upton Hospital in Slough.

We are a multi-disciplinary team working to support adults (age 18+) with a variety of neurological, orthopaedic and cognitive difficulties who require more therapy time before being discharged. You will provide assessments, personalised care plans and additional support as well as assisting patients with setting and achieving rehab goals.

We are big on staff development and will help you through your band 4 competencies as well as supporting you with any additional training and development goals you may have. We can also offer you the opportunity to shadow in an ICB acute ward.

The service operates 08:00 - 16:00 6 days per week and you will work on a rota basis. Averagely you will work 1 in 6 Saturdays. We are open to applications from those looking for both full and part time hours.

Main duties of the job

  1. Assist patients throughout the reablement process.
  2. Assist patients in achieving their agreed goals.
  3. To assist in the administrative duties of the therapy rehabilitation service, including data inputting duties as required and maintaining stock.
  4. To complete tasks delegated by the therapists.
