Job summary

Two fixed term roles available - 9mths (maternity cover) and 12 months

We are looking for a Recruitment Administrator to work within our busy fast-paced but friendly Recruitment Team. The successful candidate will need to be well-organised, self-motivated, process driven and have a great telephone manner with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

You will work across the full end to end recruitment cycle (from vacancy creation to on-boarding) for vacancies across the trust. Therefore, the ideal candidate must have previous in-house recruitment experience along with experience of working in a busy administrative role/s. You will also be good on the telephone as the role will involve engaging and liaising with your recruiting managers, candidatesand a wide range of staff groupsdaily.

Previous NHS recruitment experience is desirable but not essential.

The successful applicant will be required to work from the office for the first 3 months as you develop into the role.However, once training is completed you will work 3 days a week in the office and 2 days from home. The office is located at 7-9 Cremyll Road, Reading.

This position is full time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job

  1. To be responsible for actioning the advertising, shortlisting, interviewing and appointment arrangements necessary to complete the recruitment and selection process including the issuing of contracts of employment and successfully completing pre employment checks according to NHS Standards.
  2. To liaise with the Team Leaders, Recruiting Managers, Finance and local Human Resources departments to ensure that the Resourcing Agreements are properly processed including: Job descriptions, person specifications and all relevant documents associated with the recruitment process prior to advertisement.
  3. To administer the agreed recruitment and selection process to ensure the effective delivery of the recruitment service in line with the Recruitment and Selection Policy and Procedure.
  4. Placing of advertisements accurately and cost effectively, according to appropriate deadlines.
