This Wokingham based role would be ideal for an enthusiastic and experienced psychologist looking to further develop their clinical and leadership skills within an important new area of service transformation. Join us as part of the leadership team of MHICS (Mental Health Integrated Community Service) providing psychological expertise, supervision of junior psychological staff and consultation, teaching and joint working with multi-professional teams and colleagues. There are also opportunities for working together across both MHICS and the Integrated Psychological Therapies team in Wokingham Community Mental Health Team to enhance the offer of psychological therapies for people with significant mental health problems.
You will be well supported and supervised by a Consultant Psychologist, and will work within a dynamic, people-centred environment, where you will be able to shape and improve provision for patients with complex conditions.
Your base for this role will be in Wokingham with opportunities for some service delivery to be online from home.
Main duties of the job
To provide clinical input in the development and systematic provision of high quality, accessible and non-stigmatising mental health services within the local primary care network.
To participate in the implementation and development of system-wide mental health services that will contribute to improved experience for people with serious mental health problems in primary care.
To provide clinical support for the provision of evidence based psychological practices to enable people presenting with serious mental health problems to actively participate in identifying, planning and meeting their individual needs.
To provide, supervise and support specialist psychological assessment and treatment, formulation and consultation to clients and staff within the clinical team and system to which the post-holder is attached, across all sectors of care.

Essential
- Post graduate doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology (or equivalent for those who trained prior to 1996) which provides eligibility for Chartered Membership of the BPS (British Psychological Society). OR
- Recognised psychodynamic psychotherapy Masters degree and registered with UKCP as a psychotherapist or with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC).
