Digital Transformation Specialist, Information Management & Technology, Bracknell

Do you have a passion to help services improve, and to support them in using digital systems?As a band 6 Digital Transformation Specialist you will work on a variety of exciting digital projects and the maintenance of our existing digital systems to help improve staff and patient experience and ultimately patient care. You will get to work mainly from home, occasionally working within clinical sites across Berkshire.

The workload is busy and varied with a focus onsupporting our staff when implementing digital change projects in clinical services. If you have a friendly and enquiring personality, are someone who enjoys speaking to people and can facilitate a discussion, can demonstrate a reasonable level of IT knowledge, and have some understanding or experience of what goes into implementing a change project, this role may be perfect for you. Training will be provided, which will include shadowing other team members and learning on the job. You will be working as part of a team and will have a mentor assigned who will assist you through your induction period.Work within the team follows recognised change and benefits management practices, so is a good opportunity to learn new transferable skills. As some work involves working in clinical locations and wards, having your own car and a full driving licence is preferable.

Main duties of the job

  • Work with clinical stakeholders to progress requests for changes to clinical systems (our EPR is Rio) in support of operational objectives and outcomes.
  • Conducting change activities for the implementation of digital systems into clinical services (analysis of AS-IS and TO-BE processes, stakeholder engagement, hosting workshops, planning, benefits realisation, floorwalking, documentation).
  • Monitoring the identified benefits of a project, ensuring they are realised as part of the proposed changes. To review and assess impact and stability of changes, taking corrective action where necessary.
  • Optimising the utilisation of clinical systems in support of benefits realisation (using data to support action plans).
  • Reviewing and updating documentation in support of changes (planning, training, support materials etc.).

Working pattern + Service operating hours

Working hours for this post are 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday, working hours are flexible and normally worked between 8- 4, 8.30 - 4.30 or 9 - 5. Working hours may fall outside of these times in line with project commitments.
