Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the nurse consultant network and clinical education team to develop and deliver innovative training on clinical risk and suicide prevention. The role would suit someone passionate about therapeutic engagement and creative, evidence based psychosocial interventions for improving patient safety and quality for mental health service users.

Main duties of the job
- Responsible for making sure there is sufficient clinical risk and suicide prevention training provision to meet the mandatory and essential clinical risk training requirements of mental health (MH) workforce in BHFT.
- Work with the Nurse Consultant Network drawing upon local and national learning and drivers and embed within training.
- Develop and maintain up to date, specialist knowledge and experience in the field of health clinical risk management and suicide prevention.
- Provide support to MH workforce through effective communication and specialist clinical advice with respect to clinical risk management and suicide prevention as required.
- Teach a range of clinical risk management and suicide prevention training for MH workforce to meet their mandatory and essential training requirements as per Trust and national guidance.
- Work with key stakeholders and clinical experts to ensure clinical risk training delivered within BHFT is aligned with local and national guidelines.
- Make sure Training is clinically relevant, evidence based and inclusive.
- Contribute to the development of Trust policies and strategies associated with clinical risk management.
- Attend relevant training forums and meetings to provide regular training updates on clinical risk training.
- Actively raise awareness about clinical risk and suicide risk assessment and prevention among MH workforces.
- Active membership of the BHFT Suicide Prevention Steering Group
