Job summary
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BHFT) is a Community and Mental Health Trust and is a GDE Exemplar. In addition to developing the digital workplace the Trust were the first in the country to have an agreement with their local ICBs to use the MHSDS and CSDS for monitoring workload activities against contracted values.
Managing a small team of analysts, the postholder will be responsible for the regular reporting to commissioners and other external bodies of activity data for the Trust. Commissioners include ICBs, Local Authorities and NHS England.
The Contracts Team is part of a wider Information Team and the postholder will liaise and work with the Data Warehouse, Business Analysts, Performance, Data Quality and Business Intelligence teams as well as working closely with the Contract Team and Service Managers across the Trust.
Although the post is based at London House, flexible working is encouraged.
Main duties of the job
- The trust has two main ICBs, Frimley and Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West, as well as specialist services commissioned from NHS England and Health Visiting, School Nursing and Sexual Health services commissioned from Local Authorities.
- The postholder is responsible for a small team of analysts, including a graduate management trainee and together they are responsible for external reporting for commissioners and regulators. The postholder oversees the processes for reporting, anticipating any issues and helping to resolve them.
- The trusts main clinical system is RiO and data flows into the Data Warehouse every night. There are other clinical systems and the Contracts Team are developing reporting from those for commissioning purposes.
- The postholder is responsible for working with analysts in the CSUs to enable local ICBs to understand their monthly data. In particular sharing experience and knowledge of the MHSDS and CSDS.
- The postholder is the main contact with the Contracts Team and attends meetings with the ICBs as requested.
- The postholder also develops and maintains links with Service Managers should there be a need to work with them on contract developments.
- The postholder is responsible for keeping the wider Information Team up to date with developments on the contract reporting.
- Internally Tableau is the reporting tool of choice.
- Knowledge and experience of SQL are needed.
