We can help you to develop your potential. We are looking to recruit a Band 4 Physio Technician to our small community physiotherapy team at Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust - rated 'Outstanding' by CQC at our last inspection.

Based in East Berkshire and working out of a modern busy surgery in Bracknell, the team covers an area from Virginia Water to Yateley, serving a diverse population and is reportable to the Team Lead. The successful applicant will be expected to work autonomously out on the community visiting housebound clients in their homes, access to a vehicle and a full licence is essential. There would also be a requirement to travel to our other sites at Maidenhead and Slough if cover was required.

Our department is paperless and therefore computer literacy is essential as all client notes are electronic.

We offer excellent in-service training, one to one clinical development and regular supervision; BHFT is committed to developing its staff.

Main duties of the job

Working to support the physiotherapy team in a clinical and role:

To deliver care to patients by assessing, treating and progressing in accordance to agreed guidelines, protocols and treatment regime.

Some administrative tasks may be required for the team, such as inputting into the referral processes and organising bookings for staff and patients when Admin is not present.

Ability to work independently using own initiative, having awareness of limitations, as well as working as a team member.

Be responsible for a specific defined caseload as agreed with and under the guidance of your allocated supervisor.

To provide leadership and training as agreed with supervisor to junior assistants, patients and carers.
