About us
We are a busy team in the heart of Slough and our workloads reflect the diverse and complex nature of our client cohorts. Based at New Horizons, we work with adults with severe mental health difficulties and offer support to carers and families too. In addition to the main CMHT, we have the Recovery Team which runs psychoeducation, physical and creative workshops and training courses for all clients open to the main CMHT. Alongside this, the Recovery Team operate a successful peer mentor programme whereby peer mentors with lived experience co-facilitate workshops.
The CMHT is an integrated service between BHFT and Slough Borough Council (SBC) with the staffing composition reflecting this agreement. We are fortunate enough to have two SBC commissioned supported living placements which provide low level and medium care to eligible clients.
