Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare are seeking two organised and motivated persons for Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapist role.

Be part of our dynamic and exciting band 5 Physiotherapy rotation; a community rotation with an acute twist. Working in a community setting is incredibly rewarding - as well as getting the chance to help people stay in their local community and achieve their potential, we now also offer our band 5's the opportunity to rotate into the Royal Berkshire Hospital to complete acute rotations of your choice. We offer excellent In-service training, including one to one clinical development on each rotation participating in a robust teaching programme. Alongside this you will receive peer and management support as well as other development opportunities.

Develop your skills in musculoskeletal outpatients, including working with Advanced Practice Physiotherapists. Fine tune your rehabilitation skills on In-patients and follow on to Intermediate Care rotations where you can progress your discharge planning whilst keeping patients independent at home and avoiding them being admitted to hospital. In the acute part of the rotation you will have the opportunity to gain experience in surgery, medicine, ITU and orthopaedics at our local acute trust.

Interview Date will be 6 July 2023

Main duties of the job

  • To work as a rotational physiotherapy practitioner to provide a high quality, responsive physiotherapy service within the community, in-patients or outpatients departments across Berkshire
  • To provide a high standard of physiotherapy assessment, treatment and caseload management
  • To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner working with appropriate supervision
  • To be an active member of the Multi-professional team to achieve the best for your patients
