This opportunity is for a Senior Manager role within the Quality improvement Team, were the successful candidate will be responsible for the Quality Improvement Projects Workstream. Some of the main responsibilities include the overview and responsibility of the White, Yellow, Green Belt programs that we conduct throughout the year, the efficient and effective utilisation of the workstream resources into Breakthrough Objective, Strategic initiative, Mission Critical and Divisional/local projects, as well as the line management of the team.
In order to be supported and successful in this role, you will have dedicated support from the Operational Team Lead for Quality Improvement, alongside the support from the Strategic Head of Quality improvement and the Director of Quality Improvement and Transformation.
You will be in weekly or bi-weekly touch with your line manager (Operational Team Lead for Quality Improvement) to discuss the progress of the workstream, but also areas you require support, celebrate the wins and reflect on the opportunities for improvement.

Main duties of the job
- The post holder will play a key role in the delivery and embedding of a culture of continuous improvement within the Trust.
- Another priority for the Quality Improvement Program, that the candidate will be required to support is the Breakthrough Objectives (BO) Projects that the Trust is working on.
- A lot of focus will be on ensuring Trust staff have the skills, knowledge, and tools to identify an issue, implement interventions and make improvements to quality.
- Knowledge, training and promotion of our common set of lean tools (e.g. status exchanges, improvement huddles, A3, visual management, scorecards, unit leadership teams, process observation, and process standard work) and behaviours that are being adopted in every service to make small but meaningful improvements.
The 3/4 "must haves" for you to be considered for this role:
- Extensive experience in Quality Improvement and/or Lean methodologies at a senior level (Band 7 and above)
- Extensive experience as a Senior Manager within the NSH (band 7 and above-Equivalent level for colleagues applying with experience from the Industry)
- Yellow belt Practitioner in Quality Improvement/Lean
- Extensive line management experience (minimum of 2 years)
