Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to oversee the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist psychological therapy service for the Specialist Community CAMHS teams in the West of Berkshire. You will provide direct clinical work, consultation, and supervision of relevant professions across the teams.
You will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of psychological therapy for the Specialist Community Teams, providing expert professional leadership and advice for complex presentations. You will work collaboratively with the CAMHS Service Manager, Business Support Manager and Team Manager, other CYPF Service Leads and the Professional Leads as well as colleagues within the Local Authorities and other partners to ensure expert psychological interventions are provided.
We are looking for people with a passion to ensure psychological therapies adhere to the highest quality level for children and young people and can develop staff within this.

Main duties of the job
o Clinical and professional supervision to relevant staff within the services, ensuring that up to date knowledge is maintained regarding legislative, national and local policies.
o Ensuring effective and safe delivery of a high-quality, highly specialist psychological service for the specialist community teams, in line with relevant policies, procedures and guidelines.
o Ensuring services are responsive to local and national directives and that relevant key performance indicators are met in regard to quality interventions - e.g. ROMS.
o Working effectively with other senior colleagues to ensure high quality and effective joint working with partner agencies.
o To participate in Trust, local and national projects within your area of specialism
