Job summary
The applicant should hold a Qualified Registered Nurse
qualification and Specialist Nurse Qualification in Occupational Health
Nursing at Masters or Degree or Diploma, ideally recognised in part 3 of the
NMC register.
You will
be a valuable member of a wider team working within the Trust that recognises
the value of Occupational Health within the NHS. You will provide specialist
guidance and support to managers and staff working autonomously with sound
knowledge of national legislation linked with local policies, procedures, and
protocols. Your role will be to assist and lead in the development of this
service, in collaboration with other teams and services internal and external
to the trust, this will include national programmes, wellbeing events and
initiatives within the service.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of
the team this role provides a unique and exciting opportunity to assist in the
design and implementation of a highly professional and customer focused
occupational health and wellbeing service. The role also has elements of line
management and leadership expectations.
You must have a
flexible approach to work, supporting, managing and leading on daily clinics as
well as carrying out specific non-clinic related duties. Moving between sites
and external contracts will be required occasionally.

This is a Nurse led SEQOHS
accredited service, proactively supporting employees
health and wellness at work, within a supportive NHS Trust. We work within The
People Directorate and have a voice within the Trust, to improve patient care
and staff wellbeing.
