Job summary
An exciting job opportunity has become available on the neonatal
unit at Warrington Hospital. We are seeking a highly motivated senior neonatal
nurse to join our compassionate family focused neonatal team.
We are inviting nurses who are qualified in speciality and
possess or be working towards a professional or management degree. You will
have substantial experience including experience at band 6. This is your
opportunity to influence the experience of infants and families by contributing
to the leadership of a strong dedicated workforce, role modelling positive
behaviours, supporting the team to deliver the highest standards of safe and
effective care. This post is key within the nursing structure.
Experience of excellence in all parts of clinical care and shift
coordination are required. There is an expectation that all team leaders have a
quality role in addition to their clinical responsibilities.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide support to members of the neonatal
team and carries responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the
development, implementation, and evaluation of programme of care and setting
standards.
With the new role comes the opportunity to bring your skills and
experience to a well-established department, supporting the Unit Manager to
develop the LNU for the future.
There are also opportunities to extend your skills and knowledge,
and this will be integral to your development within the team as well as an
expectation for you to deputise for the unit manager.
This post requires a

About us
The neonatal unit at Warrington and
Halton NHS foundation trust has 18 cots, 3 ITU, 3 HDU and 12 special care cots
located in 2 rooms. We have recently expanded our service to include
transitional care cots based on the post natal ward to reduce term admissions
and separation of mothers and babies.
We are part of the Cheshire and
Merseyside Network. We accept referrals from all networks as our location close
to the M6, M56, M62 makes us ideally situated for this.
We
work closely alongside the Maternity and Paediatric teams.
As
