Job summary
An exciting
opportunity has arisen for a full-time registered nurse and non-medical
prescriber with diabetes knowledge and experience to join the diabetes nursing
team at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful
candidate will demonstrate that they can work as a diabetes specialist nurse
with relevant knowledge and skills.
Main duties of the job
The successful
candidate will work autonomously within their scope of practice. following a
period of orientation and be confident in managing holistic person-centred
diabetes care, using guidelines to facilitate evidence-based practice. The role
will incorporate inpatient and outpatient specialist care provision. Further
development opportunities will be considered in the development and
sustainability planning of the service
About us
The diabetes team is based in the acute hospital trust and consists
of a Consultant Diabetes nurse, Diabetes in patient specialist nurses and DSNs
working in outpatient clinics and community DSNs providing a tier 2 community
diabetes service. We work closely as a multi-disciplinary team including our
administration team and the consultant diabetologists providing a Monday to
Friday service.
